The Spiritual Monarchy

“You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His glorious light.” 1 Peter 2:9

Let’s examine 1 Peter 2:9:

  • You are a chosen race: God picked you; you were chosen by God Himself. Jeremiah 1:5 (MSG) “Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you.
  • …a royal priesthood: The priests were the only ones who could enter God’s presence in the Holy of Holies, but He made the rules so they would change when the Savior of the world died and rose from the dead. Because of Jesus, you can go into God’s Holy Presence (the Holy of Holies) and be with the creator of all. You can literally and spiritually be with God right now

  • …a Holy nation: when we surrendered our lives to The Heavenly Father, He set us apart from unbelievers and gave us “holy plans” to do His work. We’re a different kind of people who operate in a different kingdom – our nation has its own identity and culture. We’re part of a family bloodline, we have Jesus’ DNA – that makes you a Spiritual monarch – you’re like the royal family in England, only in God’s family.

  • …you are God’s own possession. The reason He chose you and made you a member of the House of Yahweh is because He knew you would proclaim, or tell, of His excellencies – you would tell everyone of the greatness of The God you know. If you don’t know how to do this right now, spend time in the Holy of Holies, praying and worshipping Him. You will soon have a heart bursting to tell of our great God.
  • He, The Lord, is the one who called you and brought you out of the darkness of sin, and into His glorious light, free from shame – where there is forgiveness for all sins, and no condemnation when we need to partake of His forgiveness again and again.

If you’re breathing, you have a purpose, and God has plans for you. You aren’t finished being a royal priest until the day The Lord calls you to rest with Him in glory. Keep pressing, protect hope, keep opening the door to the Holy place – The Lord is with you.
