What Are You Worth?
April 13, 2026

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s notice? And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31

Sparrows aren’t made in God’s image; The Lord didn’t send His only Son to die for them. Yet, they live under the watchful eye of their creator – because He cares for them. How much more does your Heavenly Father love and care for you, who is worth many sparrows, and the life of Jesus?

At the time this scripture was written, sparrows were only worth one-half of one cent each, yet The Lord kept His eye on them. The culture of the day didn’t think sparrows were worth much, but God did. How much more valuable are you who The Lord loves? God gave His only Son so you could spend all of eternity with Him. It doesn’t matter what others think or the value they place on you; God loves you completely, as you are, and you are His.

“So don’t be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows.” You are worth the most valuable thing God had, His only Son, Jesus.
